ode to torn thoughts

looking into the calendar i see a very simple day none-interested opaque grey sky of gentle rolling hills of silence dotted with occasional bird calls soon, all will break loose with abandon, joy and excitement fiery display of love and affection childish explosions and declarations however gaudy it may appear or shallow and pink it could be may be off white and precious much like a new child's dress no expectations or worries of mud or dirt on the trims i package myself in cynical wrapping paper and gather courage to look right through the faces of lovers of friends of couples of human bonds instead i close my eyes to dark space of silence instead of sharing a heart i am tearing a heart or two.

ready for the oven. finally.

im literally starting to burn the last bits of banff life now. 45 hours, from some 5114 hours. 3.75hrs, my body will be hurled across the sky in a small tin can operated by westjet, then saturday at 2140@yyz local time, i will be literally at the end of the year, then from there, 184 hours till the next tin can ride over the big puddle. from that point, approx. 260 hours till the end of the epic year. it's flying monkey time!

monkey's about to embark on a journey across a big puddle called atlantic. it is somewhat inconveniently large and it will be quite a feat of engineering and all that human 'achievements' that will make the long jump possible. things are packed and shoes are polished (why- i have no clue what so ever. it seemed appropriate for some bizarre reason.) a book has been chosen and music player is loaded. airtix has been printed and appropriate cables are packed. it is interesting how many different 'kinds' of things monkey's packing for a trip that's got no serious plans. because the most serious point of all this is just to see what's what, as robin said. robin engelman, the founder of nexus percussion, is one of my ahem, idols, really. ive known him through the group nexus for past ten years and still, i continue to learn more things about them- as individuals, as a group, as a teacher, a person, whatevers. they were one of the very first western classical p...
