today i was watching ford-kavanaugh hearing.
the one lady who came in the middle of dr. ford's testament, the same lady who once said 'ms. clinton should wear something better than that ugly suit for the campaign,' then said:
"she shouldve reported that 30 years ago."
i was so angry that i ended up making some sort of animal noise.
the group of ladies who socialize looked at my direction and continued.
"if my daughter experienced this, she would surely have reported right away."
"she's drinking coke. shouldnt she stay away from caffein?"

okay, your daughter will be believed.
because she has rich, white, powerful family (the lady often talk across the gym about her personal life, so we cannot not hear it). your daughter's been taught since she was a little dot, that she has the right to speak out. your daughter, most importantly, she's been fiercely protected by you and your family and friends, to best of your abilities, from these unfortunate possibilities. you talked about her boyfriend's star quality, but of course, with best of environment all available and invested, it should be an average result, to be a decent human being.
and how are you so sure that your teenage daughter had never been faced with such issues?
how do you know?
do you know that most of sexual assault victims dont talk about it? now, soon, or later? and that it may take years to sort it through? can you look to the world and say, 'my daughter never faced such issue, and that it's because she's better than other people?'
that's what you are saying.
and if she was so lucky to have avoided such issues, would she been so lucky, if she was raised in a lesser environment? with less-than-gentlemanly persons? with less protection?
what do you understand about traumas, if you never faced any?
im sure you face some traumas, cuz you cant stop talking about your recent chemo treatment. you are upset because someone asked you if you've been ill and they shouldve figured it out by your hair loss. and if that's traumatic, why cant you understand the gravity of the different situation for someone else?
and if you still dont get it, the only thing that reassures me is that you are old. old and stuck on that decades where women were programmed to serve patriarchy, and to point anger and criticism to another woman, in order to protect men. and you wont live forever.
you will die.
and your direct influence on this world to support this unfair system will end. when some people leave, they leave us wanting more of the. you and your attitude, wont be missed by me. or any other woman who had to not only face men against us, but also other women who remained and wanted rest of the women to be shackled and abused.

it's people like dr ford, and so many before us, who came out to speak out for the people who dare not speak. it's people like dr ford that made it possible for the people to believe your daughter, if she said she was assaulted. it's people like dr ford that made it possible for young girls to be strong and outspoken.
i hope when you face your demons when and if it comes, someone will listen to you. and they wont be listening to you, because of who you are, but because people have learned that it's important to listen to others when they talk about such difficult topics.
i almost feel vindictive, as if i would laugh with schaudenfreuden, if she is ever faced similar situation. i understand it's the wrong thing to think, but it's hard to not be so angry when i see other women who ridicule other women who are taking their own life's time and effort to raise such issues to the public.
i believe you dr. ford.
i cant believe the strength and poise youve showed today on international television.
i hope when you face your demons when and if it comes, someone will listen to you. and they wont be listening to you, because of who you are, but because people have learned that it's important to listen to others when they talk about such difficult topics.

ps. there must be other republicans who does not possess such problems for the nomination. cant we just have another decent person from the republicans for the nomination?
I believe her. She is brave, she is speaking the truth...and I hope to gawd, they will believe her.
