a day in the life of piano monkey

it's september; even more so than december, as a former student (i often would like to continue to be a student), the return from the summer break to another new calendar is very exciting and often emotional.  i suppose it's even more so because i have not really left the school calendar yet.  last year in banff, the year is structured in similar manner.  most of my work is not so far from university currently.  last year this time, i was thinking that by september 2010, i will be settling in a new place.  alas, with the luck of the draw, i am still waiting. though i have been living in canada since i was twelve, i still carry a korean passport.  while i was in high school and undergrad program, i never seriously thought about changing my passport as at such age, one tends to be a little bit ignorant about the political responsibility as a citizen.  the only difference between a landed immigrant and a citizen of canada is that i could n...

it is hard to believe how fast last couple days have gone. where did they go? anyways. i know couple peeps have been worrying over monkey's mental health. no major worries. i was quiet, but often it's necessary... borrowing a friend's expression: 'like digestion.' touche. i finally booked my ticket to head back to yyz and realized that i still have to find out a way to get out of possible easter manual labour- it falls on 04-04-10 so perhaps it will be a little bit difficult this time, as gene pools have been notified of monkey arriving in vicinity of march. help! with booking that ticket back to north america, i should make it clear that 1. i did make the audition and was offered a space, 2. however there was not enough money to make it a possibility, 3. hence, i will not be attending school in europe for next fall. 4. no, i am not too disappointed, though it would be very easy at this point to feel really bad about it. see, the funny thing is whilst everyone i...

some pictures of the dogs of yyz. you know, one day, i think/hope that i will get to have a puppy. well, really, what i would like is a rescue greyhound. but having a puppy means that one is settled and commited. since this year is going to be all about banff (7 of 12 months, haha. and i dont even know how many pages of music that may be. that would be.. hmm amusing to calculate it at some point). anyways, going back to the puppies,they are stylish, cute, some daring and some just.. (raise a finger, tilt head, wait 2 seconds, then) too cute. perhaps one of these days in not too far in the future, i may be able to have a dog... well, at least hope to do so. i guess it wont be a possibility until next year at least, but whenever it happens, it will be. awesome. awe---some.   this guy was willing to sit up just for a cookie. i wonder what the owner have smeared on the cookie. depending on what it is, i think i know couple people off my head who may be willing to perform the very sam...
